Best Western Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, Inverness

Our hotel is situated in a stunning location by the Inverness River, close to the city, with a car park but unfortunately with no view as the room overlooked a yard. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was decent but room for improvement in terms of the service experienced.

The hotel has a great location practically on top of the river Ness, with beautiful views of the castle. The rooms were located in a separate block building across the street, which was part of the main hotel but not attached, lacking facilities and having some drawbacks like being hot and stuffy and overlooking a massive yard.

The hotel offers a spacious room with an amazing view over the river and across to the castle. It feels more like an old-style guest house catering mainly to tour groups, which may not suit all travelers. The room was rather warm, especially at night.

The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, which made it a bit noisy, but the room, although lacking a view, was comfortable with a good bed. The staff, especially a Spanish girl at the reception, were helpful in addressing any shortcomings. The location was convenient for exploring the city, although my room faced a noisy restaurant kitchen. The dining experience, although delicious, was not the best value for money. The facilities were undergoing some changes but were satisfactory overall.

The hotel had beautiful views of the river but the rooms felt stuffy, especially after showers. Being on the ground floor made it a bit too exposed to passersby, and the noise from the bin men was bothersome. The location was fantastic, right by the river and within walking distance to the town center, offering an awesome view of Inverness Castle. However, the dining experience was not worth the money, with questionable cleanliness in the glassware.
